Votes

Players start votes in chat and answer with /yes and /no. Each vote is off until you turn it on, in the votes section or with votes <vote> on.
  • percent is the share of the votes cast that yes needs. Players who do not vote count for neither side.
  • A vote runs seconds (default 30) and is decided then, or sooner once the players still to vote could not change it.
  • A player waits cooldown_seconds (default 60) before starting another.
  • Each vote can have its own seconds and cooldown_seconds (0: the ones above), and min_players, the players who must be on before anyone can start it (default 1).
  • kick_minutes (default 5) is how long a vote kick keeps a player out: 1 to 1440, or 0 for until the server restarts.
  • starter_votes_yes (default true): whoever starts a vote has voted yes.
Starting and voting needs the votes permission, which every player has by default. vote-cancel stops the running vote.

Custom votes

Votes of your own run a server command when they pass. Up to 16, in votes.custom:
  • Players start them with /vote restart or /vote noclip off, and /vote list shows them.
  • In the command, {map} is the current map, and {arg} the choice the player picked, one of choices. Without choices, the vote takes no argument.
  • A name and each choice is 1 to 16 of a-z, 0-9, - and _, and not one of the server’s own votes (map, kick, tod, list and the like).
  • Each takes enabled, percent, seconds, cooldown_seconds and min_players as the others do.

Polls

A poll asks everyone a question with up to six answers, and runs nothing:
  • Players answer on the card, or with /1, /2…
  • It ends after votes.poll_seconds (default 60), or when whoever started it, or an admin, types /poll end.
  • votes.polls says who may start one: off, admins (the default: roles with the polls permission) or everyone.

The server’s own votes and polls

The window, and scripts that talk to it, start the same votes and polls: vote tod night, vote map grom, vote noclip off, poll Next map? | Grom | Stadium and poll end. A vote still has to be on and its min_players met; a poll can be asked whatever votes.polls says. The server has no cooldown. Chat reads The server started a vote to ... or The server asks: .... poll-run <command> | <question> | <answer>... also runs a command for the winning answer, with {answer} replaced by it, and nothing on a tie or when nobody answered:
Server plugins can ask players polls and show them cards of their own.

Announcements

announce <text> tells everyone, in chat and on a card at the top of the screen, and announce-to <player> <text> one player on a card. :emotes: in them show as images. announcements.messages are lines the server posts in turn, one every interval_minutes (0: off) while players are on, each on a card:
announcements add <text>, announcements remove <n>, announcements clear and announcements interval <minutes>|off change them. server.welcome_message (or welcome <text|off>) is a chat line each player gets as they join.

Private messages

Players whisper each other with /w <player> <text>.

Chat commands

Chat commands of your own, such as /discord or /rules, go in the commands section. Up to 32:
Each needs a reply, a command, or both. They are not listed in /help: tell players about them yourself. A /command that is neither the server’s nor one of these goes to the server’s plugins when one hears chat, instead of the Unknown command reply. A game mode’s plugin takes its commands this way.
Mind what {arg} lets players put into a command.
